Good news Tim! :)

Hiya paul, thanks mate! Might aswell do the job right etc...!

Switches, housing, multinconnectors and stickers are all from Mudstuff.

About £185 in total for 12 switches, 12 holders, 9 multi connects and 2 sticker sheets  but the same rule applies, if you're gonna do a job...

Yeah urm, I've only had the aerocatches out on one trip so far and they didn't get submerged in ****, but I can see that if they did it could be awkward. Portable jetwash is the answer! :D

Just thought of a genius plan that I will wire in tonight! :D

Going to fit red "cockpit" lamps, with a changeover switch to switch between white and red lighting BUT it will be a DP switch wired accordingly so when switching to red it will kill the dashboard illumination!

Woooooooo :D

after looking through this thread a bit and seeing your location Mr Noisy, i have seen your disco before, i was waiting at some lights and saw you nearby. That V8 burble is a sound i will not forget, it sounded awesome!

Youve spent a lot of time, care and wonga on that disco, and it looks it too. Nice job!

Hi rob!

Thanks matey, yep some massive effort and time, and a fair wedge of money too :(

The v8 is superb, wouldn't have it any other way now! They are an absolute bastard sometimes but hopefully my Megasquirt kit will cure those tendencies!

Cheers! :D

Past few nights work:

Well, basically it has taken approximately 12 hours overall to go from this:

Hometime now, up at 8am :(

Much congrats on the disco Sam.

The switches look awesome and your tenacity for coming up with great ideas is outstanding. Truly a man after my own heart.

Once I have the basics done on mine I can't wait to start the cosmetic work.

Great job

Thankyou fellas :)

It's not all back together daz no, centre console is still out, got to fit oil pressure gauge, work lights, amber beacons, find a place for ECU box, suss out why MS fed tacho doesn't work, remedy intermittent oil pressure light, repair/replace viscous fan ...

Thankyou for the compliments Ian, I really appreciate it. Has been a long hard slog these past 3 1/2 weeks, have worked harder than ever on it. Not finished yet but nice to get to shakedown stage!

Connected the batteries, went through all the switches, just two problems, had a cut the supply to the dash light fuse (I have now separated the side light circuit so that one fuse does side lights and other fuse does dash lights, so I can turn them off independantly) because for some reason in the fuse box fuses A5 and A6 are both separately fed but one of the feeds must be dead because there is a factory jumper wire in between the two fuses. I cut this last night because I thought it would cause one circuit to feed the other when switched off but it turns out o was just tired and not thinking straight! Also the interior light fuse had blown for some reason, replaced that and everything worked.

Regards the red wires, I have red for positive, black for negative and that's that!

Cheers :)

Yeah well still lots to do but I'm going to start working on MS tuning as soon as possible but yeah just pm me if you want any particular info :)
