well yes but no different than a 200
Is the auto box off a 300 mechanical operated or electrically?
I was under the impression that the 300 was electronically operated with it's own ECU unlike the auto box of a 200 that is mechanical in operation?

How you getting on?
Not terribly well after a bad bout of the flu I have done stuff all and it seems plans for the weekend might end up stuffed again.
Life is getting very heavy at the mo with mother in law not being well and her indoors had a call tonight saying that she might have to be hospitalised so she's anxious stressing out
I really have to sort my gearboxes out but this weather is gash and not at all helpful.
How you fairing?
I suggest this might be better as a new thread. Lots of Q’s to answer. How much can yu spend? What exactly to yu need it for? Etc.Hi All...
I've got to the point where I'm not ripping stuff out anymore (for the time being) and wanting to weld stuff back in.
So I need a MIG welder. I've been told that as a newcomer to welding I should use CO2/Ar gas, but what spec of welder do I need? How many amps should I aspire to? Any advice will be of use.
I'm just welding replacement panels into place and reinforcing the chassis where I feel it might not be all that it should, with a budget of just a few hundred quid. I'll go and set up a new thread.I suggest this might be better as a new thread. Lots of Q’s to answer. How much can yu spend? What exactly to yu need it for? Etc.
Any more news DD? How’s da family?

Family fine well sort of, her indoors is living the dream, Dottie has been SAS trained in the womb to radically alter anything she can get her paws on, mother in law in and out of hospital like a revolving door, my mum is feeding me up as I go there for dinner and the check on her as she's not been well and panicked a little over this here Cortina virus and the propaganda being pumped out daily.
James Martin has my two spare gearboxes to rebuild for me and at some point I might just get round to relaxing an not working or driving round the country
Rusty is running like a champ, best top up my transfer box one night this week tho!
SIP or a Clarke 150A is best, use 0.6mm wire, get bulk gas bottle from Adams gas and spend a bit of time (5 to 6 hours) practicing first, metal store .co.uk for steel, buy a sheet of 1.5mm and play away.
I think mine is a 180
see ya soon. Full hazmat gear required and a 20sec bath
About to do some welding... I understand that underseal burns well. How far back, away from where I'm welding, should I remove it?
