got more details of the eberspacher please mate? photos and the like

depends what do you need to know, not got any pictures but i can take you some tomorrow if you want. basically its an eberspacher D2 airtronic purchased of ebay removed from a utilities van so supplied with all the ducting/wiring and fuelling parts. couldn't decide where to mount it I've got a tool box on one wheel well and a bench seat on the other one so that left the load bed floor but wasn't happy about loosing load space and having a big battery meant the battery box was out of the question as well. in the end i sacrificed passenger leg room :p and fitted it behind the passenger seat up against the bulkhead on the flat part drilled holes for the combustion air intake and exhaust and ran the fuel pipe across the underside of the seatbox to fuel tank where its tapped into the tank with a suction tube. then the controller in this case fully programmable 7 day timer (i just use the on and off) is screwed onto the bulkhead and the heater ducting passes through one of the two rectangle plates riveted to the bulkhead and cable tied to the bulkhead and passes through another hole to a direction vent on front of the bulkhead. it gets it pretty warm in around 3 minutes but once turned off its gets cold even quicker but thats more than likely just because my motor is draftier than most :D

thanks its not carpet its exmoor trims moulded matting, its expensive but worth it in my opinion.

What problems is he having with them? Should bolt straight on provided he hasn't got a drum brake back axle.

well no he's got a disco back axle so discs but its a very early 90 1984 craddocks said they would fit and so he payed for them and let them fit them but after about 40 mins he came through to tell us they wouldn't fit and he would need spacers so reluctantly he agreed and they put them on, only for him to take them off to do something to his swivels only to find they were stuck on and had to knock them off with a sledge hammer. seems they gunned them on and gouged out the inside of the rim on the drive member bolts he phoned them to ask why they still fitted them and the guy in the workshop said ohh yes i know what our fitter hasn't done grind the heads down on the bolts :eek: far to say he hung up and they've lost our custom but they still don't seem to fit the back axle :confused:

Sound like cowboys to me :eek:
30mm spacers should of solved the problem even if it was an early axle.

Are they after market boosts then? Maybe there slightly different to the originals.

yeah they still don't fit theyre just in his garage now he's lost interest in them, I've put it down to poor rims they're the ones craddocks sell but they assured us over the phone that land rover buy them when they run low at the factory :rolleyes: but they won't even fit on the back axle so there something dodgey going on once he's cheered up a bit were going to compare them to a genuine one :)

Fair enough, Hopefully you can get them to fit. If not Id be sending them back if it was me :(

By the way i happen to have exactly the same winch and mount set-up. The H12 and really heavy duty winch tray.

I dug out the receipt from when the previous owner fitted it new. and apparently the mount is called a 'TOWNSEND WINCH MOUNT' although nothing comes up on google. Guess it probably used to be a small metalwork business or something a few years ago, maybe had links to mile marker as yours is the only other one i've seen?

Anyway it wasn't cheap. Cost £145 in 2001 and along with the H12 and fitting kit came to over 1300!! Its a very very good bit of kit, mine will probably outlive my 90.
