thanks guys sorted the rear door out yesterday, it all fits and closes as designed now
plan to get some more done later so ill take the camera and grabs some pics for you. Sam

yesterdays pics,
not done a lot today scrubbed the inside of the roof and cleaned the windows thats about it, now looking into some way of sealing the rear door where the top meets the bottom.

:bump: been using the landy to get to work for the last two days, spent a couple of hours today trying to iron out a few "small" issues.
the first of which was the rattling load bed floor, would seem i needed to rivet down the floor all the way across the supports so after some measuring and a whole lot of guess work got some rivets down and all seems well.
then onto the drafty rear door split, would seem my door bottom is not very straight meaning a extremely poor panel gap which i sorted with some angle, only a temporary measure until i get some time and some money and i will make a pickup style tailgate from some box section and ali and fit some sort of seal between the two,
whilst i was there i also fitted the bottom door seal might help with the drafts as well,
then inside i fitted some door pulls to make closing the doors a little easier, with having new seals they require quite a slam at the minute,
also fitted the missing trim to the sides of the screen,
I've also been had an issue with the fuel sender, the metal float lever had stuck to the plastic so was constantly reading low level so took it out and freed it up, seem ok for now going to keep an eye on it but i think it was just from sitting for so long it had gummed up,
then took a chance and spray painted the sun visors, I'm guessing it won't be very successful but we shall see,
not got a lot planned for it tomorrow just a clean and perhaps fit the sun visors, probably another update next weekend with stage two of issues.

thanks, yeah i like the look of the solid panels but a bit of a nightmare trying to see out, certainly takes some getting used to.
got the sun visors fitted,
then started off with my attempt at soundproofing, worked ok on my mini but this noise is on a whole different level.

no rush, ideally id like to equip the garage some more before taking on the next one, if i do get another one i want to try and do as much as possible whereas this one unfortunately there where plenty of things i felt unsure to attempt gearboxes, diffs and such. the down sides of being a beginner i suppose
it was just some satin black spray paint i had sat in the cupboard, i tried to scratch it off and was unsuccessful even if it does start to peel, its no loss really they were very mouldy

Hey people its been a month since i last updated this, all has been going well not too many issues.
wipers broke so replaced the cable and fitted decent wheel boxes whilst i was at it. the most recent thing to go in is the plywood the side panels and above the rear door and all three doors, I've lined the side panels in acoustic carpet and fitted some speakers in an attempt to make it a little more comfortable.

got annoyed with the half finished dash so got a cb fitted

hi mate, appologies i have only just seen this, umm this is the first major project that ive taken, on only being a youngster and all. but i have really enjoyed doing it and allready looking for something else to play with but cant decide on what to do next.
