:D Stop distracting him, and get him back to work !:)
all i'm waitin on is the bulkhead, hopefully he's bin busy removing it.
we have a bit more room now this has gorn.
lr ldv from rear.jpg
which was part of the other conversation. well happy now!

couldnt you just have used axle stands or the lift you have lol - bit extreme using a digger to lift rear end just to check exhaust....
ok - back to work this afternoon... job list for today - remove windscreen, remove steering arm, remove bulkhead, remove rear tub....
tomorrow full day at this and that.... hopefully paint will have arrived and our lass can start mucking in a bit....

ok, as you've just nobbled me, and i notice its dark outside and the afternoons gone, have you got the steering box off?:D

simple answer NO - been taking nuts and bolts off everywhere.... only one more large bolt at the bottom of the bulkhead to take off and then i think its ready to lift away (apart from splitting the column) and deciding what to do with all the wires (would have no chance of remembering where they all go to).........
need a few bits for the welder too (new wire, gas plus regulator) ordered some tips but not sure if i need a shroud.....
i have all wednesday, part thu and part fri to do more before i go away thi9s weekend to birmingham... but then hopefully a good few days without interuption.......
about the nobbling - cant let you off scott free lol

Well impressed - from a "simple" get-it-through-the-MOT to a full on strip and rebuild. Most people i've seen lately would of just given up and not bothered.
You've thrown yerself in the deep-end and kept going - Sign of a true series owner IMHO.
:5bhurray:

cheers mate, but i am getting to the hard/unknown bits now.... welding, engine, brakes, clutch, gear box, etc etc etc... glad i got this site to fall back on otherwise i may have gone astray myself....
still waiting for a load of stuff to arrive then i can start to make it look like something is happening other than demolishing... bit of painting will distract me a little from the massive task i now know/realise/admit to been in lol lol lol -BUT DONT TELL OUR LASS....

hahaha
tis never over in a rover!
I am hoping that after this little stint of work it will only be childs play to keep it going. Going to look at bulkhead tomorrow which according to seller is solid - no welds - and has some extras on - will keep u posted

ok some more pictures of the work done and my new bulkhead, been a busy day today springs off and started to clean up, scraped some more of the **** of chassissssss and so far nothing too bad found.. some holes in outriggers but hopefully someone will tell me just to weld a patch on them.....
old bulkhead off, niel you still want to attempt something with this????
and also done some more painting after fixing my garage that was blown down in the wind...
the paint i ordered last week has still not arrived due to the post office, today would have been great for a bit more painting....
neighbours and passers by all stopping to comment on what i am doing (just say fixing up and dont get into too much detail (they might realise that i aint a clue what i doing)..
