not received any pics thru pm.

looked at the links you sent, and the back end was in essex? or somewhere, and was the arse end of a 109. is this what you've got for a quid?
apart from the back door and lights, pretty much all else wont fit.

edit.
re calling, anytime you want. the young uns' only 2 so not at school properly yet (apart from mon am playgroup, wed am preschool, thu am playgroup). worst your gonna get is him shouting at me in the background.
if its really inconvenient, like i'm driving, i'll just send a busy tone. leave a message an i'll ring you back asap. in general, no message its not urgent so i'll wait for the call again.

That's a hefty bit of bulkhead work there for sure. ****es me off when i find bodges and filler in a classic :(

She's a beauty though - i'd deffo go with Neil and whip the bulkhead off to repair it - looks like the pillars and bottom brackets are shot to hell, and if the upper bulkhead sections ( by the vents) are rotted, then under the windscreen has probably gone, too.

I always wondered what a clean lump and radiator would look like on a series - mines caked in god-knows-what :D

Chin up - it's totally worth it !

yeah sorry - took a load today whi8ch i will upload later, however not much has changed since my last piccies - got to go slow and hide my parts so the pikey beeps dont run off with them...
and your too quick rhino, cant go at your pace, i am an old man doing first restro/maint.....(plus our lass has been at work the last couple of days and i have had to make my own cups of tea)

Make yer OWN cuppas ? It's a bloody disgrace. Women have no respect nowadays :D:D

I feel yer pain dude - I sometimes take it fer granted having a garage. It's fookin' cold out there ATM...and i just realised earlier that i've managed to cut through the Oil heater I fitted to the wall a few months ago :confused: so what heat i did have out there is now fooked.

Ain't ya got a livingroom ? - store yer parts in there the carpet will act as a great oil-soak, and it'll keep the damp away at the same time....

now i am in trouble, it was going to be my lucky night until our lass saw that post;... think i might be working on truck overnight now....

stripped the drivers side footwell - can it be saved (dont think so)....... its starting to get worse and worse..... there must be an end point to all this rust and bodging

It never seems to end, does it :( I feel yer pain dude, but chin up - you'll know yer truck like the back of yer hand, soon :D

It's deffo a bulkhead out job and new pillars, as Neil says - then weld in new upper bulkhead, a pillars and floorpans. Those bottom sections that are rotted out have the lower door hinge fixings, and they look FUBAR'd......

i have a bulkhead coming (if i can find someone to fetch it for me) but that needs work on it... there is a military series bulkhead not far away from here which is in excellent condition (according to seller) so i could afford to spend a little more on that but not sure if it will be a straight swap fit.....
dont a little more today, not much as i wasnt out of bed too early, ns wing off, some sanding and scraping, some searching on ebay for parts, big debate on shocks with our lass (i not sure that i want to raise the beast but she says she would love at least an extra 2 inches).... no answer to that unless i post on the wanted list lol

ROFL at " Extra 2 inches" ..... :D

BTW if your stuck for someone to collect the bulkhead, let me know the sizes and appx weight. I've got a Parcel2Go account and a little credit on there - I could organise you a courier collection to your address if you want to make up the difference ;)

I THINK to swap in a Military bulkhead there's some chopping involved......but can't be totally sure..

Are those bulkhead outriggers buggered as well, or is it just the angle iron bit?

I've got the actual outrigger to replace, new ones on the way from craddock's, does anyone have any idea if the angle iron bit comes with it as well?

Hoping it won't be too much of a pig to do, there's not much left of the old ones so cutting the old one out shouldnt be too hard!

no the riggers look quiet solid both sides, its just the angles that are fooked, i think i saw they come seperate but surely it wouldnt be that hard to make some up yourself would it. i am thinking just a bit of metal with a couple of holes in the end.....
I am quiet suprised with the chassis, been over it with a hammer and it appears to be solid so in the wise words - if it aint broke - i will leave it well alone. how can this be so when the bulkhead is in such a ****eeeeeeee condition

Yeah if they come separate I'll throw some together, ****loads of random metal around, probably use a short length of unistrut knowing me :D

progress coming on.
wheres the new bulkhead you got your eye on?
btw, welders back at the shop now, done at the brewery with it.

heyup mate - i keep meaning to call you but somehow never get round to it.... the bulkhead is in sowby bridge couple of days left and only at £40ish at the moment....
160534750566 take a look see what you think - had a few say that they think it will fit but they not sure... where could i find out a definate answer - dont want it if it dont fit......
