Sorry i will reframe mentioning that excuse of paper again, could have been worse i could have mentioned the Sport :p
A quick albeit unrelated query, on the rocker cover of my 1997 P38 there is a hole with a off set edge into which a braided pipe has been pushed, this goes into the turbo intake which spans the top of the engine cover. However other rocker covers I have seen, seem to have an aluminium pipe sitting at 90degrees into which the braided pipe seems to be attached. The braided pipe seems to be attached to a round jobby which I think I some sort of breather for the turbo. Sorry for the rambling post guys

Do you mean the breather valve?

Yes I think that is what it is. The braided pipe seems to have been shoved into the hole in the rocker cover, there is like a plastic flange that matches up to the off set edge of the rocker cover but it looks like a plastic securing tab has snapped so the pipe is quite loose fitting. Would this be responsible for the lack of power.

Wouldn't think so. Until I fitted mine properly I got oil all over

Good thinking mate I'll try that fix. It's just that whenever I fix something, it unearths another issue. I love my rangie but for a car that cost upwards of £40k new you would have thought LR would have put more effort into the design.

Come on how many Land Rovers have you owned?

I got 2 p38s and two vogues which I'm restoring but I'm very new to Range Rover ownership so that's why I joined the group to improve my knowledge.
You should be well experienced then Some very clever men designed Land Rovers BUT some not very clever men built them
