Hello.
My first post of the new year, so happy new year everyone.

Has anybody had problems with the subwoofer having a loud poping noise when radio or ignition turned off??
It sounds like a supressor has gone belly up but i not sure where to start looking..
Any suggestion anyone, if it continues im sure it will blow the sub :doh:

thats what mine was doin before the amp blew up, what year is it...

its a 2000 x
To me its as if the amp is getting a 'spike or surge, or back EMF' because there is some supperssor or other faulty??

Im sure this will blow my amp too if im not careful or get the cause of it sorted pretty soon!

any help is appreciated.

same age as mine,,, they are prone to blowing amps

My speakers are doing the same (2001 MY). Radio stays on but noise cuts out after about 10 mins of turning on. You can turn the volume control up fully and just about hear the radio. Loud crackling noise at one particular notch on the volume control and when you turn the radio off there's a loud pop like a firework going off. Leave the radio off for a further 10 mins and it will turn back on ok.
Any suggestions apart from whistleing my way to work ???
