Mine's an S with 7 seats....
All air suspension D3s had 7 seats, but not all were proper 'S' models, regardless of what the boot badge shows.

The model line up went:

Base (5 seater without EAS or TR or Digital Climate Control).

7 seater (7 seats with EAS and TR and Digital Climate Control)

'S' (as 7 seater with Cruise Control Heated Front seats.

SE (as 'S' but had Power Leather seats, NAV, and upgraded audio system)

HSE (as SE but added glass roof, comedy wheels and some other bits and pieces.

Plus the Metropolis as HSE with even more bling, rear a/c and dvd player as std.

Plus of cousre as the years went on the std kit got less and the base models got more base.

Mines a pukka S with the heated front and rear seats etc.

Main issue at the minute is the rear n/s wheel "hanging off" with the upper arm bushes completely knackered. Makes for some rather interesting driving! Would have been lovely to fix in the sun the other week but looking out now... um … no

As its now become my daily 150mile round trip driver, im keen to get it fixed!

Hi

Oh joy ur in for some fun there , trouble Is the bolts seize solid and have to cut them out

I also done the knuckle Bush and bought a kit which really help press them out and back in again

Many fit the RRS complete arms, I just fitted genuine ones

Think @1988smithy also just done his

You will need hunter 4 x wheel alignment done any time u replace the rear upper and front lower

At the same time I replaced the drop links and knuckle bush using HD meyle , replaced all the brake hoses and the short hose pipe , as I had to disconnect the brake pipe I also had to reflare a connector as it had been weeping

Any questions there’s plenty here to always help

Yeah don't wish that on me yet mate!

Suspect front diff nearside bearing shot or indeed just total diff bolloxed. Gonna dip the oil tomorrow morning, I'll update my thread :(

Been reading loads on disco3.co.uk about the bearing one side going, hoping it's just that. I think nodge did a write up on there, don't know if its @Nodge68 on here.

It not whining at all, a cyclic whubwhub under load and light throttle like a wheel bearing, can hear a fainter, constant rumble on overrun and when steering left (20°+) I can make it worse, a proper grind. Which makes me hope nearside diff bearing as it would be under more strain spinning quicker...?

Checked rear bearings and ones I fitted other week they're all ok afaik.

Play in nearside Half shaft at diff end
Not sure if for a Half shaft or indeed the bearing in the diff.

Gonna check state of oil then take it to local indy off back of that to get proper diagnosis and take it from there.

No panic, no worry, it'll be done whatever ;)

Hi

Wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy mate , as indeed a right sod to do

Have u seen these as well , plus that breather so at least then u don’t have to worry about the oil seals if the breather becomes blocked
