I had a great day out on Sunday on Salisbury plains with a load of Defenders, Discos and a few others.

It was fun watching the Disco 4 spin all its wheels going up a muddy slope, and my little of Land Rover just went up it last without any problems!

Here are a few photos I snapped during the day:

By the time it came to go home, it was so cold that the mud had frozen to the number plate and lights that I had to scrape it off to be legal!

I had the recovery strop on because I didn't want to have to find the recovery point if I got stuck, like 4 out of 12 of the other vehicles did in deep frozen water. Needless to say, I didn't get stuck once. I wasn't that silly to go through water so muddy & deep it filled my cabin....... I still went through some pretty deep muddy water though.

Well, here's one for the books. I'm going green......

I'm getting a Nissan .........

Leaf.

So I may well be selling this at some point in the next few months if I can live without an infernal combustion engine.

I am constantly surprised at how tall my Freelander 1 is compared to a standard height one, let alone a Sport!

I took it for its MOT today.

Passed with no problems as it is. No advisories.

Now has an MOT till near end of May 2016.

I was hoping you had changed your mind and put the Nissan on fire :p It have been interesting to follow your progress the last years.

Thanks, but my finances are improving having not spent anything on my Land Rover for over 6 months :D

I have some Land Rover 16" Alloys shod with almost brand new Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme 215/70 R16 tyres.

I'm putting them on eBay and listing them in the for sale section if anybody is interested.
