Write to an sd card. I haven't got that far yet.

I've had a play looking at the fault codes
I've had a code about the rear air suspension not getting the right height or something and also something about the pollen motor?

I've just cleared both message and see if they come back in?
Useful if you write down the codes, then you might get an explanation. I'm not aware of the existence a Pollen Motor fault.

Good idea.
I've just been out in the cold this morning having a play. And everything is clear no faults at all. So I'm guessing that they could be very old faults.

If there was a problem I guess they would come up again.

And no (alarm fault ) message

How can I tell if I have the nas?

You won't have NAS is North American Spec.. Look under market in BECM in diagnostic mode. Should say "market set" certain things can only be changed with different market settings. Personally i would't play with it. Read through the P38 BECM instructions from the Nanocom home page under downloads.

Don't you have to format the card in a special way

No. Blackbox try to cover their arses for every eventuality but mine was just a standard format as received and worked OK. There might be a limit on the size card it can read. The cards are dirt cheap these days anyway. If the card is corrupt then you could try reformatting. Never ever defrag an SD card or thumb-drive.

The unit says its recording to the card but when it comes to reading the card there's nothing on it, no folder or files.the card works ok in the computer and has been formated

Ian,

Had a look round the Nanocom site this morning.

On the Emulator tab at the top of the page, you can access every menu on the Nanocom and click on any of the menus to see what they do.
Useful if you are apprehensive of plugging yours into your vehicle and pressing buttons

Battery is flat because you have faffed with it for too long without charging it or going for a good long run ...

Sounds like it could have gone out of sync.....good thing you have the Nanocom!!

Now trouble is I have no idea how to do the re-sync...

But it involves reading the code from the BeCM and inputing into the Engine ECU (or the other way around)

Wammers/Datatek will know as they have Diesel P38's and also the Nanocom!

Don't panic, you currently own the best diagnostic tool there is for the P38!
