Yes PSA put in loads of things. Think they originate from France
Yip the old PSA group. Ford/Citroën/peugeo club, for the diesel any way
The 1.5hdi is a camshaft link chain thrower, they've now reverted back to a thicker oil and chain
I've got the 2.0hdi in my volvo/Ford focus based car.
So far 210.000mls on it and it goes like stink tuned to 170bhp
I think the handling comes from the focus at platform as it corners and handles like a go cart

I’ve seen a couple need new chains before 100,000. Didn’t know the block was in the FL2, but was always told get the earlier bmw diesel if I go Freelander. Big IF
The 2.2 td4 in the FL2 was a timing belt
They did use a 6cyl Volvo engine in the FL2, unless that's what you mean lar?
Ah, So, the bmw m47 was in fl1 as a 2.0d

Don’t knowMmmm, bmw? Sd4 or the td4 in the fl1..
Always presumed they meant a bmw engine in an early FL2
6 cyl Volvo is more ME
