Love it, small kick back as well :D:D:D

There is no exhaust, its the old extractors only, I have set the timing and adjusted the idling in the mean time, the engine sounds very good for not being ran in over 12 years. I am battling with the cooling system to bleed, stutab could you post some photos of your heating plumbing please, the part at the back of the engine going to the firewall and the back of the water pump, I just cant figure the plumbing and I want to fit the heater valve that was removed by the previous owner. I have tried to find the info in the workshop manual but its very vague.

Ok will do my best but the engine is a mess having only put it onto the chassis 15 hours ago.

When you are ready, I just wanted to get my baby running, I still have lots to do under the bonnet, wiring, duel battery and and and, then the brakes and then the suspension, long range tank, interior, winch box, winch, a few USB ports the list just goes on.
Thanx mate.

The heater is easy. If you still have the steel pipes running down the starter side of the engine above the rocker cover they go direct to the heater box with flexys accross the bulkhead. Will send pics anyway.

But where does the heater valve fit in, and the two out/in let ports on the back of the water pump, and I am sure the carby version is different. The guy whom worked on my Rangy before was what I call a butcher, so I am slightly confused......lol don't take much.
Thanx for your help.

It should be very similar to the disco

Thank you, I see what you mean, this just confirms my suspicion that the carby version is different, I actually took pictures to show you guys what I am looking for and looking at just so you can see what I am looking at, but I forgot to download them, will show you guys tomorrow.

Something in this areas especially...........I am trying to make sure how the direction of flow is, is it from the RH one as viewed from the drivers seat, to the heater core and out of the heater core into the intake manifold, and the LH one blanked off........
Or is it from the LH one out to the heater core out the core into the manifold and the RH one blanked off like in the photo..........

This is the rear end of the manifold blanked off here........I have actually bought the vacuum heater valve and the vacuum solenoid to activate it.

Hope this makes sense what I am trying to sort out.

the 2 you blanked are going to be joined right? because the one that IS joined looks correct from looking at mine.

It seems to me I need to link the other heater pipe to the intake manifold to get the flow correct, this is at the rear of the engine, and I still have to fit the heater valve in there.

It seems I will have to remove the intake, the stupid metal one is leaking, only one drop in two minutes. The composite one I ordered originally only turned up last week, how is that for service.
It seems I may have sorted the heating plumbing but will really be sure when Stutab gets a chance to show me how the plumbing looks like on his carby job.
