I moved my external temp sensor from the back of the offside wing, and fed it through the bonnet cable hole & grommet into the engine compartment and fitted it at the front of the wing around the front bumper area. It now seems to be giving me more accurate results.

I also added 250ml of Millers ecomax diesel treatment to the tank of fuel. Give the injectors a good something or other!!!! Suggested by Darren at Energy Tuning, the guy behind the Ronbox. It can't hurt it.

If you like additives, check out Diesel Rhino. The VW boys approve of it (was developed by a T4 tuner) and it works well for me too.

It's good stuff. You have to do the 3-2-1 treatment when you first get it- triple dose for first tank, double dose for second then normal from then on. I basically put 60ml in each full tank and it's about right.

I added 250ml of 2 stroke oil and 250ml of Millers to a tankful this morning. Need to enter the data onto Fuely, as I have no idea how many miles it did on the tankful due to the tests they did on the car along with disconnecting the battery.

I'll check tomorrow.

My maths must be out, or how the refill of each tank is measured. I was going from nozzle click to nozzle click of full tank and converting litres to gallons to work out MPG. I was getting 32MPG.
Since using my tablet/OBDII/Torque management diagnostic to monitor the use, that seems to think I am getting 40.5MPG!
I know which I would rather believe...

Me too nozzle click to nozzle click. At the moment I can't get my Scangauge to display mpg. The average is displaying from 3000 to -3000 depending on what mood it is in. Probably need to get it set up right! (I thought it was!)

Pit Stop Log is a great android app for working out mpg.

I use Millers in the VW Van as I have some left over, but I prefer Diesel Rhino as it boosts cetane, cleans the system, quickens warm up and lubricates all in one. Only works out about 1.7p a litre IIRC of fuel, and means you can use the cheapest fuel you can get but get the benefits of the top notch super dooper fuels but much cheaper.

My spacers have arrived and my torque wrench has been sent away for repair. So will have to wait a little longer before they are fitted.

I bought some headlight deflectors as off to Bruges in the morning.

Great trip to Brugge.

Funny thing as it was organised by Briskoda members, but no Skoda's went.

Just my Landy & an Audi Quattro of some description......

I was originally going in the Yeti, but changed the car.
