Good that we have a response from someone - tis deffo oop norf though not exactly central :p

Bloody Warwick in't central! :p:p:p

Appn a more northern site would bring a larger turn out in but you can't count on that until deposits are paid, looking atthe distribution the other day, Warwivk looks pretty central but the north [Yorkshire/Derbyshire] has a lot to offer... (not as I'm biased or owt...;))

Updated map from poll.

Nice work BB - I know it's not easy organising such events but your skiing a fantastic job.
I could do a site visit with camera should the need arise.
1x hard standing with elects for me please.0

The thing is your not going. To get as central location or a ssuitable site for everyone. I agree we should try to accommodate as many people as possible but like everything in life not everyone is going to be happy.
We should all be giving BB as much help and encouragement as possible.
I for one will attend wherever the location

If thats aimed at me I fully support bb...I don't know what map youre refering to. When we discussed this in the secure unit we decided on a central location for ease of access for all. Warwick is a fww miles from the centre of England but its kinda irrelevant as theres nowhere round
there.

With the best will in the world yorkshire isnt central..never has been...and whilst I only have an hr and a half drice to get there its a trek and a half for the dorset, devon, Cornwall lads.

I also get that given the lack of places displaying an interest in hosting us we may have to go where we can find. But again pointing out yourkshire isnt in the midlands !!!

well said ( sorry couldn't find a smiie)

sorry to but in, I am a Noobie to all this but I tought the point was to make it a family event to attract more people

I would have thought the first priority would be to cater for everyone but it seems to me off roading seems to jump to the forefront.

I have (limited) experience of events but I think ACCOMADATION should be the key word here.

I think camping is the way forward

I live in the midlands but where is there here

Leicester is central to England
Lancaster is central to uk

I don't give a fook I will travel anywhere if this turns out to be the epic meet I know it can be

Sorry for rant but I really want to go to this and for it to be a success:)

I will trek anywhere but the more miles then less of us will turn up! We all will set off but lets face it.

i wasnt having a dig at anyone, was just saying that where ever it is it wont suit everyone. i for one will go to john a groats or lands end if it was hed there.

If a suitable location could be found for the gathering and lots of accommodation nearby would those who want to go to a p&p be prepared to travel a bit ...like those who want to go laning will have to ?

If thats the case it makes searching for suitable venues much easier

Living where I do, travelling will be inevitable, but for what sounds like a great meet I am happy to drive. In any case, my sister is just about to move to Otley, so we can break the journey.

Accommodation should be foremost, as we can all drive a bit to find some laning, In any case, to keep the number of vehicles to five or so for each land, we will have to split up anyway.:crazy_driver:

Would Wales not be viable? :D

Yes :D I hope so!

We have had a very kind offer and off-roading and green laning in the area are great but facilities are maybe a little lacking for the other aspects of the gathering.

I don't think accy has ruled it out though.

Meet should be for front in the meet! Off-roading is only a small few

I'm all for the green laning not off-roading as I don't want to break my daily drive!

I think getting A venue cast iron guaranteed booked and sorted is the ONLY priority at the moment. Every thing else can be worked around after.
If you don't like the current prospective venue then try to find a viable alternative for us all to moan and complain about.:boink::blabla::p:D

[COLOR="red"]That's the one I mentioned, it's based on the poll and supports your Midlands location.

Not being a paid up member, I didn't know that there had been discussions r.e. the location when the thread went up hence my and Suew's suggestions of Frickley/Harrogate + Lincoln.

Warwick is two hours from here on main roads.
The reason I thought a map of poll respondants might be useful was to be able to find a mid point for the majority.

I also get that given the lack of places displaying an interest in hosting us we may have to go where we can find. But again pointing out yourkshire isnt in the midlands !!!

Yorkshire isn't the midlands but LZ is an international forum and "the midlands" aren't necessarily central for all members in the UK hence the map of respondants to BB's poll.

I apologise for speaking out of turn.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

So any news on this yet. I might need to book leave, so a date would be good, even if we dont have a venue :D
