Right come on you lot, show more enthusiasm. I have already suggested two places on here and PMd Blue Beasty with two more. If you all did the same we would soon have a venue.

And just to get more interest in this thread. I promise to make cake for the event, say what kind and I will start researching how to cook them now :D:D:D

ALRIGHT! Stop hassling.......I'll take on all the cake distribution responsibilities ;):D:D

Just done a sneaky search and found a number for the organiser for Hull4x4 annual jamboree.....bit cheeky but going to ring re Frickley :)

Just spoken to Dave from Hull4x4, a nice chap, and the low down on Frickley is leave numerous emails and voice mail messages and then live in hope.

So it looks like it's not that they hate us but just that they're a bit rubbish at getting in touch.

Phase 2 of operation contact Frickey is a go :p

BB, if you want to pass me the details I will bombard them too.
Out of the 3 that I contacted so far there has been no reply whatsoever, a little disappointing really.

I'm not sure how to do it but it would be good to get an idea of how many people might attend, that way we can get an idea of size/cost etc. Anyone with any brain waves on the best way of doing it?

Any chance of anybody local dropping in? It's a lot more difficult to ignore somebody face to face.

PM sent with contacts. Numbers is a bit of a mystery  I'm wondering if the easiest way to do it is find the cost of hireing a whole site and then start estimating numbers to work out a cost of entry/camp/P&P rather than trying to do it the other way around.

I know there's going to be an element of risk but I'm sure a few of us can share that

I'll e-mail the site in meridan again and hassle them

That'll be great :)

I keep hoping a member is suddenly going to pop up and say 'my uncle Burt runs that place.....'

Shall i try the Whaddon one near milton keynes or is that not central enough?

What sort of numbers are you expecting

Haven't had the chance to read through this full thread but don't forget us buggers up here. Id love to come but wouldn't be keen on travelling miles and miles :(

Is there a registered/contact address for Frickley?
I use a farm just be the entrance for hay and straw, I could nip through and make some enquiries if needs be?
