TBH. If I/We had time to grow veg then the house would be finished first ;).
we mostly use the local shops for the veg etc, a lot of these shops get their veg from the locals in the village.
We are given eggs and veg on a regular basis (as they have too much) so the taste is not a flown across the world taste:).

So right now it is not gonna happen;).

Get it!
We are among those who do the giving of the excess!
Thort you had nearly finished the house, but then we took ours off the buildrs in 2008 and still have 2 rooms to finish!

Did I mention we think we had burglars on our land last night?
0330 hours W sees a torch flash across the bedroom window, twice, then she woke me up, she 'd been listening to a story while I snored.
So I crept silently out onto the loggia in the dark, one of our dogs barked just once. Couldn't see or hear anything but then the land is full of trees.
So downstairs again in stealth mode onto the back patio, again nothing, so out with the powerful LED torch to go out the front and check on vehicles, nothing to be seen, then round the house and the hen run, to the other side sweeping the land with the torch. Nothing again. So back up to the bedroom again in stealth mode and onto the loggia. Ten minutes solid with my hands cupped round my ears hearing all the rustles of normal night activity, nothing although at one point earlier on I had thought I heard voices in the neighbours. Who are away.

So this morning, out to see if they have got back. Nope. Gate half open, the bike lock they use was locked to just one half, no one there, the door to his big barn where he works on his landies with tools lying about all over the place was slid fully back. his stuff seemed to be lying around but nothing seemed to have been nicked, but hard to to tell.

Checked the boundaries like an Indian tracker, no sign of recent movement underfoot or through to the neighbours.

Tried to text him on two numbers, no luck, "message not sent" which means naff all to me!

The problem is that the burglars in or linked to the village have amazing information gathering. They seem to know exactly when someone is away.

So nice way to celebrate the 14th of July!

Sleep well folks!! ;) ;) ;)

5.5 hour bus trip from Koje to Incheon Airport tomorrow morn and then the torcherous 13.5 hour flight to Skipol.

Either way she should for her safety give up driving.
The phrase "set the gas" from my old BSM instructor comes to mind.
For once I'd actooly suggest getting an autonumatic!
Although olds in these can be dangerous.
W once saw a car drive off the upper floor of a two floor car park in the centre of Ferndown.
Fortunately no one hurt, but it din't do the car, or the one whose bonnet it landed on, any good!
The dangerous thing about autos being that they just don't stall.
