although after seeing a 90 with an ingenious fold out bed and rear tent thats the way I would want to go just to keep the space down if I didn't have my roof tent plans. Jai

Saw one on a truck cab - where the "roof" folded over the rear "truck", making a solid top - when opened (by hinging on one side) a couple of stays were erected to support the end away from the vehicle. Seemed dead easy to do, not so high off the ground and ridiciously easy to erect or store - just a matter of hinging the thing open or closed. It had the other advantages of being secure when folded away and giving a flat top rear on the pick-up when driving normally.

hi all been a while, got rear springs and shocks, discs and pads all round and that ball joint at last hopefully will get them on next week, speaking of ashridge i went up there for a bbq and walk the dog and noticed a few tracks in the woods with only no horses signs and looked on the map and they are marked as other road, track or drive, i take it i cant drive these or am i alowed thanks.

Hopefully be able to make it myself this time round, assuming I get back from Coventry in time. Should be there between 19.30 and 20.00.

Jamie, I am only aware of two driveable lanes in Ashridge. One is marked as a BOAT, I am unsure of the other. PM me the locations and I'll check them out and find out whether they are drivable.

Is that the Ashridge between Hemel and Aylesbury?

Have just bought some shiny new ropes so somebody can tow me when I get stuck again, also got some new shackles but as always, the Range Rover throws a minor problem into the mix, looks like a sticky rear brake caliper - so that's another job for the weekend!
