My view, never have a Landy you take off-road (apart from the odd byway) as your daily driver.

A sensible proposition, especially if you absolutely have to get where you're going on time without having to plan a contingency ride on the back of a tow truck;) or in my case without having to tow a small petrol tanker.

Lol its my mission, (Actually I've lost a poxy belt tentioner and the Garden clean up is the result of my looking for it) But don't tell her indoors! It needed doing anyhow and I still havent found my belt tentioner which means I cant start my mota without chewing up all my belts. Doh! But on a lighter note I have managed to get rid of some old wood I had in the way to a mate that burns it in his house. Now all I gotta do is try and convince him to take away my old trees aswell. Jai

Now on the subject of the belt tensioner I do remember fitting it to make sure it was the right one and fitted, but the question must be asked. Did I take it off ore has it fallen off? Cant see any signs of it falling off so I guess I have put it away safe somwhere. Anyways I brought another one on Ebay for £4 but its anyones guess when it turns up. Jai

checked out here mate. no sign of a belt tensioner I'm afraid. For those who don't already know... I missed a patch that needed welding so failed the retest and need to do another MOT next week once we've had another go at the welding thing!

nrly there then mate bet you cant wait

Aint that the truth! Feel like I've been divorced from the old girl for ages! Kai and I drove it to and from the MOT station and that's about as far as it's gone since December.

BUT

All things being equal we're on the home straight now!

Last trip to Whaddon has officially shagged my Landy.
The newest Series III in the world is currently being re-born. I'm out for about 10 days, whilst it's being fettled.
It's only money, Eh.

What ya dun to it this time?

BTW I still have your prop shaft bolt driving adapter thingy. Will bring it along to pub meet next week unless you need it this weekend.
Nothing too serious, just front swivels, bearings, rear brakes - complete, I've ripped the remote breathers off of the axle, Oh and killed a starter motor. Pretty normal really.

Pub's fine for the prop tool, I'm doing nothing to it this weekend.
Better I keep it calm until the Peaks, would hate to break it again before I get there. Don't mind coming home on the RAC truck, saves diesel plus I can have a beer.

Have to say i don't intend doing anything to the disco that might upset it before Derby. Simply can't afford to do any more repairs, like most of you guys on here money's too tight to risk it I think.

Tried pepperstock tonight though. Someone has dumped a ****load of stuff at the lower end, couldn't get past it so had to abandon the lane. This isgetting to be a right habit. See what happens when you make a lane so accessible even a transit can drive it!

I'm happy now :)

Got 5 all terrain tyres on the Discovery

Big thanks again to Gibbo-phil as three of them are from him. Well, four but I punctured one within 24 hours!
