Hi guys. Has anybody got a syncmate a could use for my 2.5 td P38? I've plugged my Lynx in but it wont re sync it, i'm just getting fault code 27. Any help would be appreciated.

And what is fault code 27??

If the Lynx doesn't give code descriptions, it is standing near to useless as a diagnostic device!

Hi guys. fault 27 is engine disabled. The Lynx will do everything needed but cannot resync Becm to Ecu. (unless i'm missing something)

Im up in the North East :( or you would've been my new best friend!!!!

Finland, North East England, North East Kent, North East Scotland, Norway, Russia or Sweden???

Your Location would HELP????????

How deep are your pockets?????

LOL, Not too deep but would pay to get the job done. It would've been nice to have it up & running for work on Monday.

Engine disabled is NOT the same as loss of sync.
Losy of sync is one of the most common P38 problems, if Lynx cannot do a re-sync it's pretty useless. I'd send it back as not fit for purpose.

The car hadn't been used in a while and the battery went dead. The keys are unlocking the car and turning it over, no fuel from injection pump. I'm gonna call Omnitec next week cos I paid for the software and it wont even do the most common issue with the P38!!!

How is yours turning over as mine won't with 'engine disabled' displayed on the dash. The starter won't energise until the immobiliser is unlocked. I imagine, if you've had to use the key to unlock the door the EKA code is required to sync the system and get the immobiliser opened but why the starter is turning the engine is a mystery to me! What is being shown on the dot matrix warning display on the dash?

my EDC code is not matching the EDC/motronic code. I cannot change the code as it's locked. Will a syncmate do this or do i need an unlocked Bemc?

Diesel cranks but does not start, some V8's also crank but don't start, others dont crank, can never remember if it's Gems or Thor that don't crank.

If the BECM code does not match the EDC code, you have to read and note the EDC code, then go to the BECM and write the code back, it is not an automatic process. The correct version of Syncmate will do that.

I've tried, but when i try to go into the "advanced settings" it's coming up as locked :( will the Syncmate work around this and re code? really appreciate your help by the way!
