One of the main points is not to mix the newer coolants with the older coolants as they can gel. generally this means not mixing pink and blue / green.

TBH, I would double check what you were given at halfords. Not the first time they would have given out the wrong type, Did they ask for the vehicle details.

I do not have any manuals details for the 200tdi engine , so i cannot confirm , but if it is the same as the 300tdi then this is what the manual says.

Also, you said it has a Disco' engine, but from your pictures, it seems as if the engine has the high-mounted turbo and Defender manifolds. If it's a Defender engine, that's even better as you won't have the awkward conversion 'issues' that most 90/110s have when people fit Discovery parts.
