I got both my window wipers working today. :D Strip down, clean and grease fixed the problem. Unfortunally thats when rain stopped play so took pictures of items for ebay instead.
Still leaves changing the winch solenoids and repositioning them to the back of the engine bay. Fitting my Saab intercooler and adjusting the fueling. Find the last couple of leaks in the roof and seal them up. Fit and wire in my light bar.

Never gonna happen lol

Sounds like you're getting on. If you can't get the holes sealed up, Stu will come over and cut the roof off for you. With mine and mikes plasma cutters and he'll be done in no time

Pressed in some new UJ's last night. God does a huge workshop press save hammering and hurt fingers!

Then this morning Stu came round and touched my plasma cutter again............

It then, in the usual fashion started to rain so Stu went home and I broke out the wire brushes on the grinder.........

Tomorrow should see rest of panels cut out, chassis wire brushed all round on rear and painted, sedimentor removed as well as 2 new floor side panels welded in. I will then sort out the paint boot floor during the week.

Well done you`ve spent some time on that motor, it should last for years now, not many people bother with them when they get to that stage. Seen a few really rusty ones but the chassis is always good. Its a shame they are soo bad, wont be much longer until theres no more on the road, they are such a useful vehicle and easily maintained.

Cone to think of it I'm after another Disco to use as my next daily. 300tdi not really fussed about spec, under a grand.
If people could keep a lookout for me it would be appricated.

Looks like you got carried away there. That's gonna be a very clean disco by the time you have finished.

Fitted my new spots Saturday (between the showers ) wired them in and while i was at it rerun the CB cable to make it neater.

Then yesterday got muddy :D

We went to Wildtracks at Bareleylands and it was a bit poor. Ok for a beginner to get to grips with the car but it was really small and you was bored in a hour :( also a lot of **** in the dirt like reinforced concreate and old council fencing :( so we went laning around Brentwood/Navestock and Toot hill in the afternoon. Some of the lanes are getting very tricky already, god knows what they will be like in the winter :D

Well if there is such a thing as flogging a dead horse then I'm at it again. Packed tools away just now as I was getting ****ed off.

See what tomorrow brings

Tuskenraider - Yeah wildtracks is **** if you've been offroad before. Only useful really for "tasters" and experience days in my opinion and far too expensive for what they're charging

Coincidence. have just been trying to wire up two angel eye lights on the roof bar, can i get them to work? bollox can I. May have to pick your brains.

No probs Geoff. Got the angels on a switch as they are blue and dont want any unwanted attention from the law so will just use them for laning. Spots are are the main beam though.

I reckon there will be some rust on that :D Just done a few patches on an M reg to get it through an MoT.

It doesn't look too bad from the outside. Quite a bit of cancer on the bottoms of the doors though

And I'm liking the tints - like mine :). When welding is done, I'll have them finished so the rear passenger doors are done.

So have you ordered a snorkel yet??????????

Nice one Brian! Looks like a very tidy landy, just needs to get muddy lol

That will be taken care of.

I hope its ok rust wise, but i'm sure a few mates will help if it needs a few patches.:)

Didnt think it would be long. Looks very nice. When you picking it up.

BTW - I will not be able to make laning tomorrow night. or next Wednesday Anyone about Thursday 1st Sept (evening)?

Hopefully tomorrow evening.

Cant wait to get it off road for its first trip...
