Unless there is a leak, the EAS should never level down to the bump stops in a short space of time. That sounds like a height sensor. Some early cars do seem to adjust down to the bump-stops, especially if 1 sensor is a bit close to reading outside default range. Later versions of the software seem to limit the travel more or not seen same thing. Maybe after the 97 upgrades? pwood or similar might even be able to unpick the coding.
+1 ^^^^^^^Small leak will cause hunting when running. So will Incorrect calibration.
Get eas unlock and check settings. Front LR & rear LR must be within a few bits side to side or it will hunt up down.
My money is on small leak is your issue.
Nanocom can clear a hard fault, but it will come straight back unless the fault is fixed, Nanocom should also indicate the nature of the fault.ready to start investigations!!
before i do start, what triggers a hard fault and can nanocom clear it?
i've also noticed opening a door (any door) doesn't inhibit levelling, yet all doors register open/closed, including the boot when i drove off without shutting it properly - guessing this is dodgy connection in the white connector which i've still not been able to access yet
Thanks. It's not arrived yet but at least i don't need to worry if i trigger something while working on it, i can get it fixed.Nanocom can clear a hard fault, but it will come straight back unless the fault is fixed, Nanocom should also indicate the nature of the fault.
Car has been on the drive for 2 days now with a noticeable drop on the rear, with relay removed.
Are the 2 rear bags connected in any way or is it 2 separate leaks? Both bags look like they have dropped the same amount
How old are the bags?Car has been on the drive for 2 days now with a noticeable drop on the rear, with relay removed.

Not exactly sure but all look good, similar to this oneHow old are the bags?
I cannot tell from your photo, is there any crazing in the area just above where it folds under? Soapy water is you friend when it comes to detecting leaks. They sometimes leak where the airline goes into the bag.Not exactly sure but all look good, similar to this one

I shall investigate!!They are still there on second glance too. Thats the bit that melts with the slightest exhaust leak where it goes over the back axle
At first glance, the rear lines and connections seem well hidden away and not easy to get to
Oxy-Acetylene?If you put it on high then look through above the wheel you can see the airbag connection between the chassis and the body. Might need a torch.
Oxy-Acetylene?
You were right, a small amount of crazing on the wheel side that i couldn't see from underneath. Area no bigger than a thumb nail shows tiny bubbles. I'll bet the other side is the sameI cannot tell from your photo, is there any crazing in the area just above where it folds under? Soapy water is you friend when it comes to detecting leaks.
