Good lesson for all of us. I'm never going to risk cutting corners again. When I started work on her last week the first thing I did was take that battery lead off!

Rodntod.... Your not going to believe this i sold my range rover sport for two reasons,

1. Wasnt really using it much due to where i work and parking etc..

2. Was sick of spending on it i alwas wanted one sold my soul to buy one and it just kept going wrong all the time, it was a 57 plate 08 3.6 TDV8 diesel with 33k miles and in the 7 months i owned it it had..

1, Battery £90
2, Alternator £220
3, Door locking catch and motor £110
4, 4 tyres £600
5, Set of alloys £800
6, Rear doscs and pads £220
7, Handbrake motor and cables £550
8, Service £249

£2839 in six months on a car i paid £24500 for then another fortune below to get it right.

then at service it was reported it required bottom arms both side and anti roll bar links or bushes or something, another £650 worth then taxing at £245 bollocks to that i got rid...went back to older version then got shafted again lol......

Range rovers and me dont seem to mix like....

Ouch!!!!!
That kind of money buys a 1 bed flat, and they hardly ever break down :D:D

You RR owner experience is hopefully about to get so much better Rob.

By the end of the week i am expecting to see a message on here saying"first turn of the key"
Fingers are currently bandaged as i had bitten my nails to the knuckles, now on diazepam to ease my tension, waiting for this thread to conclude with a happy ending.:p:D

Even when it does get going its going to take two years to get over the Paranoia of every little noise and click and sluggish starts when cold and wet lol, even a normal range rover driver has this let alone one that's sat in you drive for weeks

Do you ever really get over the paranoia? Other than a failed starter motor and a dodgy fuse box neither of mine ever left me stranded. Didnt stop me worrying every time I drove them though..

I hope my Range rover P38 friendship gets off better than it started but in essence its not really the rangies fault this time, well 50/50 shall we say Ebcm fault then my fault on top lol.....

That is why Range Rovers have a great stereo. Turn up the tunes enough and you can't hear any of the creaks, clunks, bumps or wind noise that come with owning a Rangie.
