Hahaha go for it! I'll be your guinea pig  I never found a nice place for it to go in my 90 so much looking around and settled on the MUD locker. They should to another slimmer version specifically for mounting CB radios and aux boxes, I can't be the only one to have thought of this.

Linky

I can see why you went for it, looks a great bit of kit.
I will add cb mount to the long list of stuff I need doing when I'm actually home and have time

Yeah its really well made, proper quality product. Though soon I'll be drilling holes in it left right and center for the various battery cable, live feeds, earth feeds, aux jacks and what ever else I can think of!

I just dropped them an email asking if they have ever thought of doing a slimline version, see what they say!

Never bothered doing any comparisions but it is 100% noticable!

I cannoy f ucking stand Defender brakes!

Went to change the caliper with the sheered bleed nipple. Low and behold the union has started to round!

Last time I had to reflare the bloody thing which took all day.

Im happy doing most jobs, brake unions i cannot stand! The whole point of sending it to the garage to have the work done was so i wouldnt have to deal with this sh it.

agree, done some a few years back on the hippo, bloody flares kept snapping

so got someone in to sort them out ,

Thing is theres no where local I actually trust to sort it. The Kwik Fit near by isnt bad, guys are pretty decent in there but the rest of the garages a bloody awful I wouldnt trust em to do landy work like this, last thing I want is for a £115 quote turning into £400 again!

Given up for tonight, my mate gave the number of a place that makes up SS braided lines, I'm thinking replace all the solid lines on the rear, then I can do away with the bastard LR unions.

would a decent brake flaring tool be any good, or maybe hiring one

only garage i know local is dakar but well over priced ,

Ahh cheers! I didnt know you could get them pre-flared! Last time I checked it was just some bloody pipe and you had to supply your own flaring tool!

Either way now I know it exists maybe I'll be able to find just the pipe I need!

just put another link up , think i've got to get my brain checked out as i thought it was a 130

will get my coat , lol

Cheers! Very helpful! Though they don't appear to have any for a 110 with ABS! I'm thinking I might just use the goddamn flaring tool, if I f uck it up then I'll get a braided line made up!

Got some internal fit wind deflectors pretty cheap and instantly smarten up any Defender imo, plus they serve a useful purpose!

Also drilled a hole in the MUD Locker for the CB audio out, Idea is I'll keep a long 3.5mm audio cable in the MUD locker and plug it into the head unit when its needed.

I did find some interesting landys while I was out and about in the countryside!

6x6 RCC Fire Engine, looks like it was a fire engine for the local (now abandoned) airfield and a V8 Ninety sadly had some pretty extreme rot everywhere :(

Single Cab Pick Up with a chunky bull bar! Needs it by the amount of roadkill dear I saw -

On the way out I saw a few more but couldnt get pics. Looked like a top spec customised TDCI 90, TD5 110 tipper, 2 more RRCs and a couple P38s plus a pile of chassis, bulkheads, wings and what have you. All very spread around near a shooting range was odd o_O:rolleyes:

BBS got back to me about the Nanocom, apparently nothing wrong with it! They managed to record live data no problems, now ive a £72.50 fee to pay to find out there was nothing wrong!

Very strange,.......

Have you tried it on another vehicle, just in case it is your motor not communicating properly?

Cheers
