Sent the whole lot, SD card, unit and cable. Its on its way back now, so guess ill see!

On a more positive note the 110 is running very sweet at the minute, treated it to some premium fuel (std was out) managed 31mpg from Orp to Glous 60-65 on the myway, driving sensibley with a bit off right foot :D

Quite impressed with that tbh! Not sure how much of it was down to the fancy fuel but usually only get around 26 - 27mpg on motorway runs.

that's good mpg, considering the weight of it and of course like mine designed in the same shape as a house brick , lol

haven't used thebokus diesel lately as i've blanked the egrs and fitted a tuning box, wish to brim a few tanks first before i start bringing the tuning box in,

will be interesting to see how it performs etc

have found already the turbo lag reduced and smoother on tick over, assume thats just because of the blanking of the egrs, so want to take my time and get true and accurate figures

can then also test from a tank of normal and the plus diesel
 
Fitted the X-Eng Column Lock yesterday, took less than an hour to fit, if i had to do another I could it in 30mins or so!

Only thing that is a right pain is relocating the imob ring, it barely fits and makes for a very tight and tough fit on the steering column shroud. Took a while!



It does take an extra second to start due to the movement of the imob ring.

Not the biggest fan if the blue ring, i may paint it with CIO

Finally used Raptor for its original intended purpose! A bedliner!

I got sick of the mucky looking chequer plate that I just couldnt get even a little bit clean, despite a solid hour with the jetwash and Gunk! So down went the Raptor, looks 100% better imo, even if it will barely been seen.

Began to key it all up with the angle grinder and wire wheel, I had bought an air sander to do the job, turns out it was total crap, could barely take the paint off o_O Also keyed/sanded down the tub sides and bulkhead with my 14 year old leccy sander (10x better than the air sander!) Smaller bits by hand.

x2 Coats of acid etch, ran out half way through so flew down to Halfords and bought their own brand stuff (£7 less than Upols) and tbh, much better. More in the can, more consistent flow, better coverage, no drips and a smoother finish. Upol GRIP Coating was also used in areas I couldnt key up properly.

Sprayed up the thresh and Hi-Lift mounts. I did attempt to clean up the thresh first but it didnt come out that well...

And done! 2 Coats of Raptor with the shutz gun, one bottle per coat again!

Decided to leave the top of the tub cappings epsom green, they are very rough and will need painting but I think when touched up leaving them green will look better.

I found when using the shutz gun you end up leaving about 200ml of Raptor in the bottom of the bottle, so lil trick. Either poor the remains into the next bottle you use to get a little extra then when thats done cut the bottle in half stick the shutz in there. Gets all the Raptor out!

Good thing about doing the load space apart from the obvious is it should completely waterproof it, meaning no more leaks into the cab and should act as some decent soundproofing on the rear!

Also going to add some tie down points tonight and a storage area for my Halfords socket set.

Heres showing how tough the Raptor paint really is, the steering guard took a hefty beating (can see a little in the roll over pics) and not a scratch on it!

I seriously love this paint! I can't wait to see what Buzzweld do with it, apparently they are working to increase adhesion and durability :eek: As well as creating a finer texture for the tintable!

All finished and back together! Theres a few rough areas where the shutz texture was too thick, so i'll need to sand those down a little but I can't until its fully cured, on Sunday :rolleyes:

So clean and nice! Once it is fully cured I've got some tie down points to go in and going to fit some 8mm shock cord to hold my Halfords tool kit in place, may seem excessive but I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it! Which has happened to me 3 times now, 3 hours on a tow truck because I didnt have me tools!
 
A shocking update!

The reflaring went exceptionally well! I had the union on, brake pipe flared, new caliper fitted and all back together in under an hour! It all went very well.

Havnt bled the brakes yet though... but i did stamp on the brakes a few times and no leaks!! :D :D :D

So what pipe did you use and what flare tool? at least you did not make the mistake of flaring then remembering the nut....LOL

Almost! :rolleyes: Did one turn and realised!

I cut the pipe off the union, close as I could get with the Dremmel then carefully bent the current brake pipe straight as I could and slid on the new M10 stainless steel union.

Fitted the caliper and carefully bent the the brake pipe around my hand and screwed it in. I may have done it a little too tight so going to back off a little tomorrow.

Used a Draper flare kit, super simple and super easy and effective. I did a couple testers all came out perfectly. Also very cheap!

Annnnnnd bled! Brake pedal is nice and solid now, so happy! Can drive around with a bit more confidence now! :D
 
Finished fitting the bootlid over the weekend! Not exactly a simple task considering the instructions may have been an Ikea set, in Chinese that have been through the wash. I mean for £700 you'd think they would print out some semi decent instructions :rolleyes::rolleyes:

As for the fit, its very close, not 100% perfect (due to the ****e instructions) but it works well, looks good and is pretty secure but could easily be made more secure if you wanted.

As for them stating 'It is not 100% waterproof" I also understand that, depending on your own pick up and how straight the tub is will decide how water proof it is. The rear area below the window im confident is very water tight due to the amount of silicone and sikaflex I used :D

The locking end not as much but unless im in a monsoon or literally underwater I think it'll be fine...
 
Cheers! I do like it, means I can actually keep stuff in the boot without the worry of it being nicked when I park up. I reckon it would be pretty tough to try and break into it given the way it locks in but still got a few bits to add to improve its security.

Got some nice LED strips coming as well which i'm going to fit inside linked to a pressure switch.
 
:) Thanks! I am enjoying doing this one a lot more than my 90, I suppose because I actually know what I am doing (for the most part! :rolleyes:) so I can just crack on without waiting for help or advice, though always welcome!

In other news, looks like I won't need my landy for the next 10 days or so as im looking after mums Rangey while they are away! So going to crack on with stripping down the front ready for a deep clean, soundproofing and aux fuse box install going to be busy! Almost everything I need to do so has arrived heres hoping theres no nasty surprises under the carpet!

I did buy new front carpet from LRI solutions, cheaper and has more coverage than Exmoor trim but the quality is brilliant, its SO SOFT! Not for long haha
 
Finished whittling out the airbox, no pics this time though!

Though while doing it I did notice something potentially bad... Some fluid, unsure what, below the brake servo/drum on top of the air intake. Underside felt dry so not sure... I cleaned up everything with some plus gas so I'll go for a drive tomorrow and see if anymore fluid collects.
