Tad annoyed!!

Stripped down me hub to the stub to find only very minor evidence of scoreing on the stub axle which was quickly cleaned up with some wet n dry. Smooth as anything now.

So either keep the stub or send it back ffs

Reassembled everything, greased the bearings a touch plus new gaskets. Cleaned up the mating faces and put two on this time and tightened the bolts a little more. Should stem any leak.

Also cant find where this noise is coming from! I thought it was the TX box rear output bearing but stripped the lot down to the shaft and there is zero play! So I dont think its that now...

Guess ill just have to drive till something goes bang n hope ive the cash to fix it!!

hmmmmmm hunt for the elusive TX box noise continues! I thought I was on to a winner with the handbrake drum, it was a little stiff and made a grinding noise so cleaned up it but noise remains :(

Oddly enough the drive flange was leaking again  so something was definitely a miss, since I had a brand new stub I decided to replace it anyway, Bearmach where nice enough to put a seal in too, saves a bit of time, though they could have said.... Ended up buying one ffs. Shall check tonight, hopefully its not leaking!

Offside front damper has been replaced, it was leaking a tad from the top. Top marks to Frogsisland who replaced it under warranty! :D:D

ref seat safety who cares when you got a boat load of cage around you and a modified strengthened winch bumper basically if i hit anything its dead and a full cage to protect me,i didnt know there was any kind of issue with seat safety you got me thinking now when i strip seat to install heaters if i think it looks poop i will stick on some extra weld or brackets if needed am glad you got me thinking about that.

Not sure what this has to do with Banlz beast , but:

So you hit something solid, your seat base mounts tear and you bounce around inside your metal tin mashing your features of the interior parts.

Cars are fitted with crash zones to absorb an impact, what you are describing is the opposite.....:rolleyes:

Cheers

well to be honest the way i drive if i hit anything i will be dead anyway lol lol ,the car is also getting fitted with full harness too so shouldn't really get tossed around too much basically same setup as the spectre one.

Off for a weekend laning on the Salisbury Plains! As always shall get some pics and a few vids! Looking forward to trying out my new ATB!!!

Ordered some new rubber bulkhead vent seals to replace the leaking foam ones, hopefully my drive down there well end with dry feet!!!

Also recently fitted a lovely wrap around rear diff guard from Flatdog, oddly the top plate was too long and didnt fit. Couple calls later and Flatdog are having some shorter ones made up! Quality service!!

@bankz5152

Enjoy, I was down there two weeks ago, a lot of deep water.
This one puddle has a deep hole in the ctr, sunk a 90 and it sucked in water.

If you have a fully working snorkel and can submerge to just above the top of bonnet and have good traction you may be all right.

Seems to be a lot of standing water so, a good idea being behind a few others..LOL

Cheers

Im pretty confident the snork is sealed from top to air box, though id rather avoid that kind of depth! I have carpet you know!!!

Hmmmm traction, 285 Cooper Pros, TC & ATB? Should be ok I hope :)

Have you ever checked it is sealed? plugged it and see if it stalls?

Carpets!, carpets are for wimps......:D...Have fun, the Plains are nice to drive and a great selection, although I did some lanes just off the plains and boy were they scratchy, I cracked a headlamp, bust my snorkel head and lost a CB antennae in the scratchy branchy stuff. Glad I do not car about my paintwork...LOL.

Cheers

Jesus! Haha been a few times before so I know what im up against!

Got perspex guards over me headlights, cracked one in the summer too!

I did, it didnt stall but was very close as it started collapse the intanke pipe! CB is ant is behind the cab so should be good!

Back from a weekend in Salisbury! Brilliant weekend, my 110 just ploughed through anything I threw at it! Got to say I absolutely love my rear diff!!! Managing to drift down some tracks was definitely a highlight :D:D:D:D

No real damage done to mine, though I do have a recurring ABS/TC issue now... Clear the fault, all fine, pull away and the ABS/TC kick in then the ABS/TC lights come back on. Fault says "Front Left ABS Sensor Low Voltage" - Will give it a clean this week, hopefully it has just come loose!

Some water was pretty deep but nothing we did was too serious but the Disco n the background of the first pic misjudged the depth, went in, got stuck water up to their waist! Remarkably the Disco got them home and died on the drive!

Didnt get any videos sadly! Not that many pics either, not all taken by me too

I shall pass on the compliment!

Good news is I think my ABS sensor is fine, pulled it out, cleaned it up then pressed it back in.

Cleared the fault, short drive and they didnt return!

Longer drive out and still no fault so im happy.

Finally found some time (and cash) to get my doors repaired! Stripping them down tomorrow ready to take over on Monday.

Then to be painted where needed with CIO and Epsom Green (where needed) followed by LizardSkin and a mixture of 3mm and 6mm closed cell foam. The door cards will be lined with open cell foam but kept away from any metal work.
