Cheers

Is Dan still doing in the team or has he moved on to greater things?

He's still around on other forums that we work with, we have decided to spread the workload between the new team.

Hence why you guys got lumbered with me, sorry

Have a good day

It seems to me that we may have been lumbered with someone that interacts more and actually responds to the members of the forum. :)

After 14 years of being insured with those nice people from Direct Line I swapped to Adrian Flux as I wanted a policy that covered off road use and allowed for modifications, what a costly mistake this was.

Having paid for the full year (£270.00) I was told I had 30 days to produce evidence of my no claims discount, so I promptly sent a renewal notice I had from Direct Line, however this wasn't deemed good enough for Adrian Flux, so I contacted Direct line and asked for written proof, in the mean time the 30 days changed with each new person I spoke to with some saying I had just 14 days, all very confusing. In the end I sent Adrian Flux the letter from Direct line which said I had 14 years no claims discount, ah proof at last and everything sorted...or maybe not. Two weeks later Adrian Flux emailed me and asked for a further £28.00 to cover the period that I wasn't able to provide proof of no claims, I argued that they knew of the difficulties I'd had in obtaining the proof and that when it did arrive it retrospecfully proved I was entitled to a no claims discount.

Adrian Flux said they would take the money from the same card I'd used to pay the premium, which I refused to give them permission to do, six days later I received a text message saying they had cancelled my policy.

Now I'm a little old fashioned and I believe the customer (me) should be treated right, especially as I was a new customer, however I was glad not to have anything else to do with Adrian Flux, until that is when I received my refund on the balance of the policy...wait for it....£98.00

This was explained to me by a very unhelpful lady at Adrian Flux as the remaining policy, less the under writers fee, less Adrian Flux's fee (she said they were merely the broker and had the right to take their fee)

So two months motor insurance with Adrian Flux cost £172.00 and they didn't even wear a mask when taking it.

What gets me is that government makes a law that says we have to have motor insurance. I don't have to insure my house, I'm not obliged to buy double glazing from some dodgy door-to-door salesman but I am forced to deal with this bunch of crooks (the motor insurance industry.)

I dare say some will be along to say "I've been with Flux for x years etc, etc" we might even be honoured with some flannel from Flux themselves, but all I will say is anyone who is thinking of going to Adrian Flux...ask them to remove their highwayman's mask first.

Well said,
I've only been with Adrian flux for 3 weeks and am already finding problems complimented by very unhelpful customer service and that's only regarding a windscreen repair

Reddien, if you can give me a PM with your policy number I will get this looked into as a windscreen repair is usually a very straight forward process of putting you through to the winscreen claims handler. I can only apologise.

Best regards,

Jordan

I had a rock flicked up by a lorry on the motorway put a bloody great crack in my screen, I phoned Adrian flux up and the process was very smooth and a new screen was fitted the following week.

My renewal has just come through this week and I won't even bother to look elsewhere as I am very happy with the service from them.

:car:Thought about Flux for 2013/14 but changed my mind after reading about others problems. I have just gone back to Saga after being with L/V for the last 2 years. Fully comp and with the best breakdown cover , all EU countries unlimited time abroad on both,£231-31P , I only changed to LV because Saga price increased £100, good deal this time though.May change back next year if price go's up.

Far more satisfied than complainers. The bitchers, bitch oh well does give a blacke eye to Flux. But if you would of searched there are alot more satisfied customers (on a few other threads), after either ED or JORDAN have had a look.

This is a huge factor for any insurer, well anything in general. People very rarely make the effort to go online and write reviews unless it's negative.

You can search reviews on holidays, cars, insurers, anything. The internet is full of stories of bad experiences.

We've booked a holiday to go to Egypt in November this year, I googled reviews & it sounds like an absolute dive, I wanted to cancel it within 24hrs of booking! - 1000's of people still happily go there each year, it's the bad experiences that get written about though.

I'm not here to defend Adrian Flux insurance in any way, as there are times when I look at a file that I receive a complaint about and just think why oh why was this or wasn't this done. It happens. All we can do is work with the feedback we receive and try to prevent repeat occurances, and train staff accordingly.

What i'm here to do is rectify problems and build relationships with you guys to try and give you the confidence that customer support is a huge priority.

Best regards

Jordan

Well I have just got a TOP DEAL with them
Great value for money, very polite and citrus staff and AP of less than £150 fully comp, Green Lane with off road cover with an agreed value of £3K.

i wouldn't use Adrian Flux again, it's not them I have an issue with, it's the idiots who handled their installment collection being unable to grasp a simple bank account change.

You're going to Egypt in November? Have you personally been called in to handle their government's customer service as well??? ;)

A bit late, but thanks for sorting it out

I was with Adrian Flux and the first year was okay but the second year they wanted double the premium even with the advertised discount for being in the LRO Club - no justifying that one.
My current insurer has just done the same. Best to shop around. I was quoted £387 and just got it elsewhere for £174 inc protected, legal, windscreen, courtesy car etc. £250 excess.
Insurance used to go down as you got older but it is still going up even with 30+ years clean license and only one knock over 15 years ago.

Iwas going to get in touch with af when mine is up for renewal but not sure now. Ive had quotes off them before and they have always been 2-300 mor than anywhere else. Ive dealt with sureterm before and they were spot on.

Do your self a favor and check with Jordan. How long ago did you check with them, AF?

Post codes come into play for what you pay. Things changed Jan of 2013

By all means give us a call at renewal, we have some really good deals on with winter coming & 4x4 insurance becoming ever more popular!

The number is in my signature - if you have any problems give me a PM and i'll do my best to help.

Many thanks

Jordan
