The Kerr Nelson brand sensor arrived this morning. Fitted it at lunchtime today, fully greased and pushed right up to the reluctor teeth and the abs and traction lights have gone out. The Kerr Nelson one is physically identical to the previous 2 sensors fitted apart from having a resistance of 1000 ohms. Maybe the system couldn't see the one with 950 ohms because it is at the lower limit of resistance - then again the nearside one reads 950 ohms as well - go figure. Let's see how this one lasts. Time will tell. Will try and get a refund from the "Landrover specialist" now for the duff one as it was supposed to be guaranteed :)
If you have a Nanocom, could you take the live data voltage readings when stationary and post them up.
 
Looking back on this whole saga, I suspect that the fault all along has been the broken reluctor ring after the balljoint and initial sensor replacement. When it was doing my head in and in exasperation I took it to the "specialist" they tested the outputs and saw a dodgy output from the osf front new sensor and assumed the new sensor was dodgy. That'll be £117 thank you very much for 2 new OE sensors which didn't fix the fault. Took it back to the garage again and this time they diagnosed a broken reluctor ring which I fixed with a new CV joint and the fault was still present. Kermit tested it with his Nanocom and it ends up being the 2nd new osf sensor is duff which gets fixed with a 3rd new sensor for £20. There was probably nowt wrong with the 1st set of new sensors which were £28.90 for the pair with a 5 year guarantee. So much for "Landrover specialist".

I think that I have been extremely lucky in choosing to replace the consumable simple item as my first step on both occasions.

Taking it to a garage has always been a last resort in my 45 years of car ownership - other than MOT's or tyre/exhaust fitting/tracking. Dealt with some right cowboys in the past. I remember getting the tracking done on a Morris Marina early 1980's and the knob had twisted the rack gaiter until it split. Took it back and he swore blind he hadn't done it. Reported him to the federation of motor repairers of which he was a member before he refunded me. Never went back. If you do have to use a garage find one you trust and stick with them. Probably teaching my granny to suck eggs I know :)

That's one of the reasons I do everything myself. I don't trust the f"ckwits. And if you do let them near the car the wheelnuts are torqued up to 300 Nm and you discover a bodgit the next time you're checking stuff.

front right sensor short to another sensor
front left sensor output too low
front left sensor short to another sensor

Any suggestions other than burn it or sell it ?

And the battery voltage is? Other than low battery voltage, it could be the ECU or corrosion in the connector.
