With the new coil

Yes as it happens, I got a coil from a local mate for nothing and it seems to have fixed my poor starting and cutting out.

Also think I've solved the strange cutting out.. Narrowed it down to when its got a full tank.
If I'm right its due to the series tank having the return going into the bottom of the tank rather than just dropping in from the top of the tank.
I think it caused a gravity syphon type resistance for the swirl pot return.
 
good news, wish i knew bout my inlet being seated or not :p

You could test it. Seal the water pump exit and try putting 2 bar from an airline inthe manifold, the water system only gets to about 1 bar, If it dont leak.. bobs your uncle.

Why the decision to fit megajolt and stick with hotwire injection?

It was cheap! I'm toying with the idea of upgrading it to full MS, might just do that at a later date. Not made my mind up yet.

I don't like the original ignition for many reasons..
1. water
2. water
3. common amplifier issues
4. the advance system is poor
5. the spark from a cap and rotor is poor in comparison
6. did i mention water?

So at least its a step in the right direction!

Well yeah I get the idea of megajolt :rolleyes: But not fitting the injection side as well, or do you feel that the hotwire setup is adequate for you at the moment?

Don't get me wrong I would love the full MS, cost is the main issue.
If I can get the kit to upgrade it for not to much I'l do it!
The hotwire is working ok atm so it will suffice.

Yeah that's understandable. If it ain't broke don't fix it applies as well I guess! :eek:
 
Defo go full ms if you can afford it mate, well chuffed with my ms on my 4.0 still trying to understand the tuning but megalogveiwer makes things a doodle to get a good tune, every time I get in my 90 now I have a big grin, best thing I ever did

but in all honesty I would love to go MS.



But in other news... I may be buying a 4.6 to rebuild!! :eek:
