spray it on - thin it with some diesel.
it will also spray without thinning if you warm it up (stand the tin in a bucket of hot water).

Ah use the pump type waxoyl sprayer. Like trewy said, stick it in some hot water for a bit, ah use some old engine oil to thin it down a bit
it seems engine oil was tried and it rusted the bastids to fook.
Ah found that when the sprayer started tae block up a bit, ah just stuck it in some hot water again. The pump type sprayer keeps blocking up from what I hear and engine oil causes rust.
Spent fooking ages last week lookin for a solution to rust and it seems engine oil was tried and it rusted the bastids to fook.
Buy a fooking sand blaster, and rent it out to everybody wif a landie.

I can only say that the best looking, clean, rust free part of my motors chassis is where the enjin oil has sprayed over it.
I agree, and tis funny how it's only the backs of chassis that really rust coz zo much oil comes out the engine to cover the front...and why do they pack metal things in oil for transit and storage - tiz coz it inhibits oxygen getting to the metal and rusting it, the only thing that rusts metal is oxygen so if it can't get there coz it's got a nice anaerobic seal about a molecule or 500 thick on it, it int gonna rust! Waxoyl diluted with diesel should be OK, just not quite as strong but probably less likely to flake, it needs to be effectively kept moist to keep the air out!Ah found that when the sprayer started tae block up a bit, ah just stuck it in some hot water again.
Dunno if it's true about engine oil causin' rust or not, but there was an auld guy round these parts that used tae spray it inside his chassis quite regularly and it never rusted in all the years that he had it.
Wish ah could afford a sandblaster!!!!
I also found another where it gave the reasons for it rotting, something to do with the acids in it.
Yu may have a point with OLD injun oil, as it does contain acids and contaminants from the injun, but unused injun oil shud be fine - if yu get a cheap (circa £8 a gallon) oil - that would do fine.
