Hi all thinking of fitting a fuel cut manual switch on a fuel line to help stop with theft i have a pedal box and a autolok for the wheel,my question is where would i fit the manual 8mm stop tap as could be hidden anywhere on fuel system with removable handle of cause, please forgive if seems a silly question i wanted a manual cutoff you see, many thanks in advance

I would buy a simple but not too cheap secondhand easyfit wheelclamp
when you take it off it can be put on your spare wheel on the back door which also stops it getting nicked when your parked at the local yobbo centre lol
Most t leaves cant be bothered taking a wheel clamp off then nick your motor and most wheel thieves wouldnt look twice when its got a clamp on it

Thanks mate i have a saftpedal box now but od have thought an inline manual fuel switch hidden would have been good too many thanxs for the reply and a merry xmas to you

Tell ya what. Go ask in the appropriate section and leave the PROJECT section to those sharing PROJECTS with the rest of the forum.

I reckon best bet on a td5 is to fit a cut of switch to the in tank fuel pump, much easier to fit, assuming it has its own relay anyway so could be a real easy install?

But, But, But --------- when your parked up the clamp is on a road wheel so the scrotes can nick your spare, and when your driving and have put it on the spare no-one is going to be able to nick the spare anyway.
Unless yours is even slower than the std land rover product.

I would be looking at an electrical isolator switch for the pump rather than a mechanical valve on the fuel line. Simply because the pump could be running dead headed at full pressure (4 bar +) if you forget to open the tap.
On my Defender I had a hidden switch fitted to the crank position sensor. There was no way it was ever going to start with the cps disconnected.

This seems a little silly to be posting our best fuel cut off positions on a public forum but I have PMed you where I put mine.
