I know this subject has been covered many times before , just after a definitive answer to my situation, changed rear ace pipes year ago, all fine, now got a leak on front one in offside wheel arch, been told by main dealer parts dept (mate works there)that if I go for de-aceing totally , is it just a case of changing belt and pulley, or do I need to change roll bars front and rear? Mate says no but not too sure!! Any help would be great! Cheers guys!! Oh by the way still on air too!!

Your mate's thinking of the failsafe "bars locked" position - the idea being that the rams won't move if there's no pressure due to the pump etc. being bypassed.
My Disco 2 is currently running around like this - eventually I'll need to source some anti roll bars (I believe they come in 16mm dia and 19mm dia versions) once the rams themselves decide to leak out. I'll get new links too because they've seen better days.

If it's only a leaky front pipe then why not keep the ACE system? Mine was bypassed when I bought it.

Diff.

Thanks for all your advice guys, been gently persuaded (with arm up my back) to keep the ace system after all, here's hoping it goes well when tackled next week!!
I'd bin it,its just another complication which will strand you at the side of the road - along with the SLS.Besides, getting rid of the ACE gets ride of loads of weight too,all that kit is very heavy. When you see it as a pile on the ground in front of you its suprising how heavy the rams, pump, block and pipework are.
