Right had a think about how to do this for the D1
My bumper is box section but using a sheet of plate cut at different heights and some little strengthening plates it could be done easily, the bends for the end are about 45* but using set tabs that I weld in at my end they could be bent accurately without a problem
For defender it would truly be a flat pack but I could do it in two ways, a stumpy which only comes out to just past the inner edge of the wings or a full one which comes out to the outer edge. Tapered ends so it looks good and simply bend to 90* on top and 60* on the bottom
As a side note, if anyone wants to try a flat pack D1 I'm in need of a new rear bumper in good condition and straight so would do a decent discount on that if someone nearby fancies a trade
