As the main beam can be turned off by selecting sidelights and headlights are switched by MOSFETS explain how it can be a stuck relay?
Ignoring electronic problems will always cost more in the long run, some are not smart enough to realise that.
Tbh I don't the in's or outs or circuitry but two hundred or sidelight just becuase that part has gone doesn't mean every other part will depending weather its to do with condensation you peeps always give the worst start with the least

The BeCM is the Body Electrical Control Module....

It is the vehicles brain box that controls all the vehicles body fnctions from wipers to the door looks and interior lamps....it has its little chubby fingers in all the system on the P38....

It can be found under the drivers seat, condensation inside this will render a car unusable in the worst case...and offer alsorts of electrical niggles in the best case....

replacing ins't as simple as remove/replace as it needs to be set up for your vehicle including security codes to the Engine ECU and also to set it up for any 'options' your vehicle has!!

not to be two fik wots a BECM and where is it . i will check the light relay
There is no light relay, they are switched by a sort of transistor. BECM = Body Electronic Control Module located under the drivers seat (RHD). If the carpet is damp in the drivers footwell, odds on there is condensation inside the box. with the battery disconnected, it can be unplugged and the lid removed. If you can see condensation inside, stick it somewhere warm for a couple of days, then clean all the connectors with contact cleaner and see what happens.

If you don't know what you are talking about, maybe best if you kept stum.
Condensation in the box WILL kill the whole thing sooner or later, then it won't be £200 it will be a whole heap of trouble and cost.

Relay Replacement
The relays are all Siemens and NEC parts (unfortunately about 6 different types), and are soldered on the board instead of using sockets. This does not seem to be the brightest idea as sooner or later they are bound to fail, but probably not before your warranty has long ago run out!!

Have you looked in the box no! So how do you know its going to take the lot out !!! Stop assuming the worst sometimes its not all that bad!

You don't listen do you? The headlights are not switched by relays.

50 years experience of electronics and a good knowledge of the insides of the BECM and I know that condensation will cause major problems.
You on the other hand are, as so often seems to be the case, just guessing.

So you never come across a malfunction of the light circuit only no wet no condensation in your case everything is doom and gloom and a certainty its that . I don't think so you might want to scare the living day lights out of people but I don't

Of course there are malfunctions of light circuits, but in the case of the P38 the most common cause of random unwanted events is corroded connectors and condensation. It's not doom and gloom, dried out they often recover, left the problems just get worse.
I try to give accurate useful information, you seem to specialise in guessing about things you don't understand and can barely describe in comprehensible English.
Telling people to look for relays that do not exist seems to be your idea of helpful.

Then tell people the whole story not half

That's what I said, some people are too thick to understand.
Some are clever at things other than cars and electronics and some are like you.

Yes that's right says the man that didn't know there are other systems to the eas that controll valves that your didn't untill told we all learn data no one is superior even you :)

I saw this and thought of you two.
