Hi just changing me bulkhead on my 200tdi then decided may as well take seat box off then thought may as well take rear tub off now left with chasis and engine and gear box, can anyone advise while i have all these parts off what things i should look at /change..

condition of chassis and if you really want to go looking for problems take the rear top shock mountings off and check the chassis under there. the chassis has a tendancy to rust badly behind them

Also look where the A frame meets the chassis ( give it a good prod as theres a lovely mud trap there both sides ) mine went there and it was a bastard to weld up with the body on .

thanks for that i am glad i removed the rear tub as it appears the people i brought it off put a new rear cross member on and wielded it in some places but tacked it in other places so i need to do some repairs.
