no i wasnt sayin buy air con - i was sayin yu told us at least 3 times yu havent got it - and we still ignore yu!
Electric windscren - if available - very expensive - cheaper to chop ya hippoo in for a newer model with aircon.
 
Not sure about the blower, but I had same problem with my 98 model back along.
On some of the early Gaylanders, the sound deadening padding, behind the trim panels in the boot area, was the wrong shape and covered the air outlet vent. This prevented proper air flow through the car, making de-misting slow.
Maybe a red herring, but worth a look.

My windscreen takes ages to clear............am used to it now! Guess it has someting to do with the fact that the heater matrix is bust ans leaks water into the car!!
I just leave her running whilst I get dressed in the mornings..........it's fine when I go out again................Oh and don't try this unless you have a private locked driveway...........otherwise you may find that the car as well as the mist have gone!! LOL!!
