Windscreen fitment

Ok after having my windscreen frame galvinized I need to refit the glass. Is the glass just sealed with sealant and then held in with the aluminium trim? I'm thinking Tiger seal.

Just make sure there are no lumps of galv where the screen sits and go for it.

I've used Sikaflex sealant extrensively on the caravan and cars to seal headlight covers for instance. Maybe this is a good option:

Usually a rubber strip its in the parts catalogue. You may need to get it back out at some time tiger seal very hard to remove.

I thought it was just held in with sealant. There was no rubber seal when I removed the glass.
