WIndows and sunroof stopped working

it was supposed to be hello DB,not hell DB
i was coming home last night with the lights on and noticed the switch panel light up,and i guessed the black and red wires might be the lighting of the pack,which also might say the earth to that part of the car is ok----i ll have to get the info from rave and bite the bullet and get another switch pack also
 
Left the sunroof open during a downpour... think it's killed the switch console. Hoping against hope that wd40 and a spell in the hotpress might save it.

List of stuff req'd from the breakers seems to be growing quite quickly. Wish I'd room for a donor car!

Who says Rangies are unreliable... mine even mends itself, at least temporarily. Switches now working intermitantly, hoping they just need to dry out properly.
 
Right, intermitant has become nothing again. Contemplating a trip to France which won't be fun with no windows to open!

Will have to check the earths again tmrw but in the meantime is is worthwhile trying to reboot by disconnecting the battery? Downsides to this is that I don't have the EKA code and I've no internals for the fob remote (battery and terminals missing)

If you do that and you can't motor the windows, you will get WINDOW NOT SET / SUNRROF NOT SET messages on the display each time you turn on and off.....

It is annoying when one window message is displayed let alone the damn thing boinging and displaying messages for EACH window and sunrrof on each turn of the key!!
 
It's bad enough already boinging away cos the after market xenons and leds aren't wired correctly, think I'll give that a miss so.

As an aside, just downloaded Rave... f**k me it's a bit of a beast!! Be back in a month once I've digested the introduction :)

A trip to France with no working FOB and no EKA code? Make sure you have a good recovery insurance for when you get stranded or a big box of matches:rolleyes:
Sounds like the outstation has given up.
 
2 serious questions for once....

1. If the backlighting is working does that mean power is getting to the switches, therefore not the outstation?

2. Can you prise off the switches from the circuit board or will that break them?
