That will feck it completely. WD 40 is not a switch cleaner, it's a water dispersant.
You seem to know very little about the switch pack.

Well its not the switch pack, we are going to try an outstation as a quick test then test the wiring going through the door.

He changed switch pack not long back. We concluded it was outstation/wiring where door opens given what was described

I believe i have a spare outstation so we are going to try that then meter the wires through and repair as necessary.
