Don’t get me wrong... churning up the lanes is an anathema, however if that is on the plains, then it is understandable. Thanks @The Mad Hat Man.
Tank tracks. The odd Green Laner on them really makes no difference.Don’t get me wrong... churning up the lanes is an anathema, however if that is on the plains, then it is understandable.
Hi, Sounds like a plan!@Salisbury Nick I do not bother going near the plains. I like my motors too much for constant repairs.
have you joined Salisbury 4x4 they are out every Sunday?they look a good bunch of responsible green laners.
I have a few dates to arrange around the ridgeway. I will drop you an invite once I get some dates.
(Remind me a few weeks before a bank holiday )
Yes it isis that a facebook group?
Top Job - Thanks Phil
Just dropped the mrs off at a horse event & I know there are a few lanes near the area. So out In the L200 and welly boots for a look.
Now iv drove some of the lanes in the area before & these are wide scalping stone drives.
Loverly few miles done & just need to add these to a summer route towards a camping area. The ford(river crossing) was not even looked at today as don’t want wet carpets.

Yep near ChippenhamFosse Way?
Update from the council.
The section of the ridgeway between hack pen & Avebury is once again closed. This is the same section which was repaired during last years closure. Council are saying due to the wet winter they want to allow more time for it to recover.
Triangle Section from Avebury called green lane to the animal cemetery the. Back to Avebury will be open.
I must get out on The bike and see how the repairs are. Bet there is still local farmers who use this to go between the fields during closure.
