Hi all
I sent the disco in for a full service. Of course they have fount more problems which will costs me alot of pennies

They've fount out the radiator has got an hole and needs replacing. Also the fuel value has gone.
Track rod ends with other bits and bobs.(washer jet also rusty wheel nuts)
Also the rear brakes and discs need replacing also calipers need replacing due to seizing.

It was only a couple of week ago i had the front brake pads, discs and calipers done due to seizing.

So with me asking for a full service i've come worse off and feeling depressed.

Whats yours throughts am i right to have the work done or am i daft to for paying out on the disco

A one armed monkey could do half them jobs for little money. Have a go yourself.

how could it have a hole in the radiator and you not know? Were you losing water before it went for a service? What do you mean "fuel value?"
Did you have any problems with the brakes before the service?
Why do rusty wheel nuts need replacing?
I would put it in for an mot at a different garage (make it clear you wont be having any repairs done there, say a friend does all your repairs or whatever) at least you will get an objective opinion about brakes, track rod ends etc

Wow lot of money that mate I would tell them where to go it is easy work and could be done down your drive and only a couple of hours

+1, rads not difficult ,neither are brakes and track rods complete are about £25 ish fpr i presume is "fuel value "its awkward but not beyond a diyer by any means

In fairness it was losing water before yes and for the brakes they did mention when i had the front done they needed doing
i meant say fuel valve my mistake and regards to wheel nuts i had change the wheel due to puncture and hardly got some of the nuts out they have rounded off aswell so i basically said change them before they discovered the other problems

ahh right ok then, still not great so close to Christmas. But for the future it is well worth getting a few opinions before taking the first quote. If you wanted a room decorating you would probably get a few quotes and recommendations first before shelling out a couple of grand!
