My friend brought a 90 1986 but the wheels are the really wide steels but no one know what they are off. Been told a series II military but not quite sure could anyone shed any light on this?

Could be 2a Forward Control, 1 Ton or later Snatch Land Rover, depending on construction and width/offset

Series Military wheels that are wide are likely to be Forward Control Rims. I have just bought a set of these and they are difficult to get hold of and not cheap to buy. Moreover, the tyres that usually go with these are 900 x16s and are hard to find and also expensive. If you have got these already, well done, keen them, treasure them and if you want to sell, expect to get more than £100 per rim and about £150+ per tyres. If you havent got them and weant them, start saving your pennies and if you se them on ebay, get in there quick because demand is very high.
