My 200 tdi will not rev, and is throwing white smoke out of the exhaust.Water is ok, oils ok no oil is passing through the turbo and i have cleaned out fuel sedimenter and fuel lines, and still no luck.

Any help and suggestions gladly appreciated

white smoke is iter un burnt fuiel (timing) or water (head gasket,split cylinder,warped head). take a sniff inside the expansion tank and if it smells of combustion its goni be water and im not to sure on how to check the timing on one of them enjuns
 
Beechy, preferably get a compression check done as low compression = retarded igntion = white smoke from unburnt diesel. The figure for the 300tdi new is 24bar, I think the 200tdi is quite similar. The reason for low compression is normally worn bores, sorry to tell you that, but it could be valve problems which would be cheaper to fix. Check the blow-by on the bores by taking the oil cap off. If it blows off with increasing revs you have a bore problem.
