Working at near Heathrow is as close to London as I like to get....and the roads here are not much better!Considering the British government takes about 45 billion a year is motoring related taxes our roads are a bloody disgrace. At least the ones around here. They will all be like billiard tables around London no doubt. That's what the **** off is.

Speaking as someone who spent a great deal of time "around London", I can assume you this is most definitely not the case.
They probably should be, given that London and the South East generates a sizeable portion of the UK's wealth, but hey, that's another topic...
Yeah forgot that London is the banking capitol of the world. Who caused most of the current deficit?
Deficit? Er, that would be OESI, otherwise known as Gordon Brown.Yeah forgot that London is the banking capitol of the world. Who caused most of the current deficit?
The (now defunct) FSA mainly. They set the regulations on what can and can't be done. But to be honest, we all had a part due the cheap credit on offer, etc, etc
I agreeSo the people having to bail out the banks was our fault. Didn't see it that way myself to be honest.

We were in a much better position when the north represented the huge industrial contribution. The investment from the 'towers' of London just isn't there anymore to support industry which is why we are now a nation of importers
Well we all had a part but the banks mainly yes. However, much like the current Google/Starbucks thing about them not paying enough tax, etc it's the regulations that allow this, the companies just take advantage.
Yes but the people of Britain don't make the regulations, the tossers we vote in make those. Mostly designed to keep the rich, rich, the middle class just happy and the poor subservient.
...Personally, I wouldn't rule out either - go for the one that ticks all the boxes, works as it should and has been well maintained.
