which temp gauge/sender for 3.9 fender

Hi All- i have searched but can't find an answer.

I have an ex-200tdi defender now with an ex-disco 3.9v8. The temp gauge reads in the red all the time even though it doesn't overheat. I was wondering what gauge/ sender i need. Part numbers would be massively appreciated too.

If it goes into the red immediately you switch on the ignition - before you start the motor - then you need a new sender

If it warms up normally but just keeps rising then it is just a resistance issue - I had same problem

again, though you need a new sender - you need the very early range rover classic one
