Which one - discuss?

Well after a bit of investigation I have 'narrowed' it down to a D2 around about 2002 I think.. for around £2500-3000 (gives room for some tweaks if needed)

next list of questions..

Petrol 3.5 or 3.9 vs Diesel 300Tdi ot TD5
Air Suspension vs coils
Commercial or Normal (what spec level)
Manual vs Auto

anything else I should be looking for?

1) if you're going for a D2 then you cant have 3.5,3.9 or 300tdi your choices are 4.0 or td5

2) air suspension is a better ride but you need to look after it

3) commercial has no back seats

4) your choice

re gearbox are there any inherrent issues with either?

not sure about D2 gearboxes but if you try the search button you may find some answers

1. if it's D2 cant be 3.5 nor 300tdi.....Td5 is better(at least for me

)
2. SLS = more confort+towing capabilities, coils= less trouble(even if the SLS probs are easy and quite cheap to fix)
3.

4. i'd go on manual
5. ACE vs torsion bars.........depends on your choice nr2....SLS its better + ACE, coils = no ACE
