they are better as standard , CSK knew what he was doing.

just a stainless exhaust and a nicer trim level on the three doors and they are perfect.

yeah, but you could say that every car was better as standard! certainly more liveable with in an all round situation at least.

i find the 33" tyres a great help for pottering around the nearest deeply rutted track off road, but obviously a PITA on the motorway.

must admit though, i do love the way it looks with the big tyres and extended arches.

sometimes i think about buying a RRC with an autobox, just for low cost cruising around at the weekends, feeling happy as larry.

i break my disco so much off road i could maintain the rangie on road in the blink of an eye! :D

i know, cheap was the wrong word.

i meant averagely priced.

wouldnt want/desire/need to be buying into a 5 grander, but then i wouldnt fancy taking on a 600 quid project either, as the disco takes up that part of my life.

ah well maybe just a pipe dream, i just love them toweling seats and it reminds me of trips to anglesey when i was a kid. i remember us pulling over all the time when the tailgate used to fly open and dad getting out to tape it down again.

what was that all about?! :D

and waddayamean YUKH disco? the disco is a sexual machine!!

cheers!

change the tune selct resistor.

make sure it will pass an mot without them

WTF is that M8.........anything i own will pass an mot as long as it can stop and the tires are ok it will always pass never had an emission test in 8yrs got to luv having a brother for an MOT tester lol.

RRC's not always the best option i got to admit the disco looks ****ty in compared to the rrc and defender but some fool designed them to be driven by midgets who can hardly see over the steering wheel hence me aving 3 disco's cause i cant be see dead in a jeep:D

I am 6 foot tall and drive a classic with comfort.

Get yer brother to send me an mot!

D1's are an improvement or the RRC, D2's are an improvement on the D1, D3's are an improvement on the D2 etc etc or staying with RR's the 3.9 was better than the 3.5 and the P38 was better than the 3.9.
u have to move on :)

The only thing to make difference in comfort between the RRC and the D1 were the seats and that's it.

I've got classic leather in my 110 shame it don't go anywhere lol

and I have to say 3.9 for the power/torque but the 3.5 does have a much nicer sound

yeah but the D2's up are totally out of my price range for how i treat my vehicles and i drive for a living and in 2yrs i have seen 3 D2's going down the road with a dive on a corner where the air bags have fooked up
your also forgetting that the disco's have a higher roof which makes them more comfortable

ok so now try being 10 inches taller and see how you get on with the roof lining and lack of leg room my bruvs got a classic and its just not the deal and the seats are pants really not as comfortable as the ones in my ES not by a long shot

No MoT's im afraid its a blood thing only nothing personal

If compairing new seats of the RR classic and D1 one would find that the RRC seats are better as you sit in them, but with a disco you sit on the seats and they don't have arm rests, so not the same as I found.
Also leg room in the rear of a disco is less and I don't see how the higher roof at the rear of a disco adds to comfort.

well me and my bruv have a fav corner with a dip and naughty camber and we slide out the seats in the rrc 300tdi specially the seat back (end up with my shoulder on the window) yet the same corner faster in my d1 V8 we stay more planted and he dont end up with his shoulder on the window so there must be more support in the seat back with it having a deeper seat back profile. as for the high roof in the disco it makes loads of differance when your over 5ft tall you can put legs on seats or in the other foot well but you cant do anything about your neck when your head touches the roof even if you look at the floor

If you want comfort buy another brand cos u lay on your back and repair both every weekend anyway so sitting in a seat feels like a luxury or am I missing the point, I drive a 90 so I think it's nice to be driving it not fixing it so the last thing I think about is how comfortable are the seats, if u don't like the seats buy new ones.
