Apologies if this has been asked before but, I can’t seem to find a decent HG for my 75 series 3 2.25 petrol.

Does anyone know where I can get a decent one like victor Reinz, etc.

Thx

Don't think I have ever heard of Victor Reinz, but a quality composite head gasket should be fine.

Payen or Elring are good makes, I doubt you will get a problem with them.

The one thing I would say is, do not, under any circumstances, use the old style copper head gaskets, they are always trouble, and can lead to serious engine damage.

They have a habit of blowing between the cylinders. If they do, and you don't stop driving, the gas blowing between the cylinders can cause thermal stress, and crack the block, or the head.

Doesn't always happen, but it can. Composite are better.

Thx, Where can I get the Payen or Elring gaskets. Paddock spares and John Craddock don't appear to offer them for Petrol
Unless the diesel and Petrol ones are the same.

For the future, Turner Engineering for anything engine related. They know these engines inside out and backwards and know what works best. If you can spare the time to visit allow yourself at least half an hour for a chat.

I bought a kit when I did the engine. The photo in the advert had a composite head gasket but a copper one turned up in the delivery. Went straight back.
The copper one that was fitted was almost none existent. I can’t believe the engine even ran.
