Hey everyone,

Does anybody know a recommended time to replace the shocks and or springs ? Do they have a certain lifespan, either mileage or age ?
Thanks in advance
Theres no time span on these. They either need changing or they dont. If the back or front is sagging then the springs could be gone and if the dampers are leaking or dont stop the vehicle from bouncing after the first bounce, then they will need replacing.

about halfpast 9 on a thursday

damn, better get them done asap !

Well I don't notice anything wrong with them atm, all seems fine.
But just having a fair bit of work done and was asked if I wanted new springs while I was at it and I didn't think there was anything wrong with them yet.
Think I'll stick to the originals since I'm not going for an upgrade.

Talking of genuine... buy cheap buy twice and throw in a steering damper and a set of shocks... would you have a bath and put the same undies on again? :) Besides its perhaps the best job on our long list. Famous Four gave me a great deal on genuine land rover parts but I am sure you will shop around. I did use a Britpart gaz steering damper and I am pleased with it.
